The Wayback Jazz Connection continues this week, with Ron LeGault Quartet, featuring MaryLynn Gillaspie on vocals and Leo LeGault on vibes. MaryLynn is a real jazz singer. The phrasing, her voice, the tunes she picks, the way she swings. And Leo will be headed to Berklee College of Music in a few weeks, so this may be your last chance to hear him for quite a while. The Wayback Bar ....where the music is up close!

Lyons music is famous. Lots of blues and bluegrass. Now, there's jazz. On July 2, Andrew Vogt brings his quartet of guitar (Paul Musso), trombone (Curtis Fox) and bass (Dave Weinand).
The Wayback Jazz Connection has top-tier jazz musicians performing every other week. And the music is bringing out Lyons fans, connecting with each other through jazz.
Pianist Ron LeGault is versatile and accomplished, performing in a variety of settings, including ensembles, solo, big band and accompanying vocalists. He hosts and brings in a different selection of musicians to the Wayback. He has a style that’s a bit of funk, some harlem stride, a touch of George Shearing, with a nod to the be-boppers. Featured compositions are from Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea, Duke Ellington, other composers from the Great American Songbook, as well as select jazz standards.
